On behalf of the Korean Society for Bioinformatics (KSBI) and the BIOINFO 2024 organizing committee, we sincerely thank you for your enthusiastic participation and support in our largest annual event. We are delighted to host this year's conference in Gyeongju for the first time, a city renowned for its three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We hope your visit will be both enjoyable and memorable.

We are deeply grateful to all session chairs and speakers for their contributions in sharing their expertise and showcasing cutting-edge advancements in various bioinformatics fields. We also extend our special thanks to the BIOINFO 2024 program committee members for their dedication to maintaining high academic standards for presentations and content, which has significantly contributed to the success of this conference.

We are honored to welcome two distinguished scientists, Prof. Uri Alon from the Weizmann Institute of Science and Prof. Dongsup Kim from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, as our Plenary Lecture speakers. This year's conference will feature several special sessions, including Single cell Multiomics, Long-read Sequencing Biology, Protein Bioinformatics, RNA Informatics, AI in Healthcare, AI in Synthetic Biology, Medical Genomics, Computational Metagenomics, Clinical Informatics, and various educational sessions. We believe BIOINFO 2024 will mark a significant step towards the Digital Biology era.
